Dan van der Meer is a 14 year veteran of the radio industry in Perth who, when not covering all things digital for Mix94.5 and 92.9 Triple M Perth, also dabbles in quite a bit of podcasting.

In addition to The Science of Healthy Hearing, Dan co-hosts both a podcast about parenting (Direct Advice For Dads) and gaming (Game On AUS).

In his spare time, Dan is busy running after his three kids, trying to keep his golf handicap in single figures AND trying to get his old band back together.

I will never forget when I noticed that my little brother was labelled a 'late talker'. I witnessed my brother and our family cope with a health system that showed little empathy or genuine care. That was until he was diagnosed with moderate to profound hearing loss and fell into the care of an Audiologist who changed our lives, I saw firsthand the impact that an Audiologist can have.

As a qualified Audiologist with over 12 years experience, I now dedicate my life to leading Lions Hearing Clinic and Ear Science Implant Clinic, part of Ear Science Institute Australia a not-for-profit Medical Research Institute.
